yes! i saw him coming out of the corner of my eye, and fired. admittedly, it was one of those beautiful accidents... luckily my settings were already there and it worked out. in this case, the motion blur is exactly what i wanted -- not too much, but not like frozen either. the beautiful accident theme continues considering the location of the cyclist in the frame -- not tooting my own horn here, but i get excited about the zen-like balance between the cyclist, the lines at the top with the single bird, the whispy tree barely coming in at the top left and the white bollard ... this balance unfortunately rarely happens for me. so maybe in 2008 i'll try to get better at making that happen! HAPPY NEW YEAR GUYS!!!
