great! i tried a few different things and landed on that... hopefully it's subdued enough to not distract from the images.
that was indeed good times at the ballpark. for the whole crew: this was taken at the playing fields at buckner and northwest highway. the only light source are the HID pole-mounted stadium lights that shine on the fields. once we figured out how to turn them on, they worked great as "studio lights" ... my plan is to go back when the wind isn't blowing 30 knots out of the north like it was that night so things are more still -- although the motion blur effect adds a bit to the ethereal quality, hopefully. i still waver between whether it looks sloppy (like bad technique) or if it adds to the image. what do you guys think about this issue?
i don't think it looks sloppy... it makes me a bit uncomfortable, but i think it's because it looks so dream-like. it gives the effect that looks real, but not quite. it's a very nice effect, i think!
